Kingstone High School - Team Morocco

A few weeks ago I received an email from Rhiannon Northmore asking if we were able to help with a team building day for 14 of her pupils

Rhiannon Northmore from  Kingstone High School writes;

"We are a team of 14 year eleven pupils working with a company called World Challenge. We need to raise £1100 each to take on the challenge of Morocco and reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal the highest peak in North Africa in  July 2009. As a team we are doing bag packing at Tesco Belmont next weekend, a carol singing evening for shoppers also at Tesco, we are trying to arrange an ice skating evening and various fundraising including one challenger (male) being waxed to raise money!

 None of our pupils have ever been to Morocco let alone to the heady heights of 4167m, which hopefully will allow us to look out over the High Atlas Mountains. Pupils will each lead the team at different points of the expedition making their own decisions and working as a team to get everyone to the top, whilst carrying all of our supplies and camping equipment over an 8 day period. On descent we will sample some of the Moroccan delights, souks, snake charmers and spices! Before heading home to soak our feet!"

Taste For Adventure were happy to help and donated a day to the team.They had a great day on the Assault course, High Ropes, team games and challenges that we set for them during the day. Hopefully they have taken away some knowledge of the importance of team work that will help them on their trip.
We look forward to hearing all about their trip on their return.
