Lynn is honoured with an MBE
All of us at Taste For Adventure were overjoyed to hear that our very own Lynn was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday honours list last Saturday.
Lynn, who helped to set up and run the Centre since 1991 with husband “Brummie” Stokes received her award in recognition of her work with the community and in particular her work with the Over 60’s groups in Burghill and Credenhill which involves providing hot lunches throughout the winter and various trips during the year.
Lynn says “ I am shocked, but very pleased to get this award, I was not expecting it, so it is an honour. No one ever thinks they will ever get an MBE, so for me to get one is lovely”
So, from the rest of the team at the Centre – “Well done Lynn – truly deserved!”
and here are few pics of Lynn in her finer moments.....
