“Better to light a few candles than complain about the dark”

NEWS ITEM / BRUMMIES 10K BURN

Sunday 21st March 2010

Sunday saw 57 hopeful runners challenge themselves on our 10K annual run at Garnon's Estate in Herefordshire.

Albeit a bit muddy from rain on the Saturday the sun shone down as they set off across the lawns, across fields and up onto Garnon's hill through the woods before returning to the finish in front of the house.

For the second year John Pullen from Wye Valley Runners was first home in a very impressive 43mins and 52 seconds, followed shortly after by Jon Barnes (Wye Valley) and Mike Link (Hereford Couriers).

First lady home was Tricia Wright from Hereford Tri club in 55 minutes 03 seconds

Can I say a huge thank you to all of you who came along and supported us, all the volunteers who helped on the day and to Harry Cotterell for letting us use his Estate once again to host this fundraising event.
Money raised will  greatly assist us in our endeavours to enhance the self-esteem and confidence of less privileged youngsters through the media of adventurous outdoor activities.
